Most would say Dwayne Wade because of the Heat's performance without him. I'm not so sure...I mean when comparing him to Kobe Bryant, and all the attention that Wade gets? Yeah, but he's not a Kobe Bryant type player. Wade loves the playoffs and shows up, but one thing is that he gets "hurt" a lot and tends to coast in the regular season which goes with my view of the Heat as being weak. Lebron James should have no issues posting players up and just driving the ball and should do it more, which he has.

hmmm there's too many to choose.... Gasol, Stoudemire, Devin Harris, Kevin Martin, Trevor Ariza, Jeff Green, Rubio, Blake Griffin (i like him, he just isn't the best power forward in the game yet), Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony, Brook Lopez, but I think the award would have to go to Joe Johnson personally (who gets the overpaid award too). for a 6'7 guard, his rebounding isn't great and doesn't even average 20 ppg this season or for his career as the "best" player on his team. they're all good players, just not as good as they're made out to be

it's pretty clear he is. he won the MVP last season. not one definition of MVP made rose the top candidate yet he somehow ended up with it. he's a great player no doubt but to be deemed the best player in the league (even for one season) when he isn't would mean he's overrated. oh and they're 7-2 this year without him in the lineup including a win over the celtics for anyone who thinks the bulls can't win without rose

You just contradicted your self. He's great but overrated?

the definition of overrate says to "have a higher opinion of someone or something than is deserved." i simply acknowledged that he is a good player, yet said that the perception that most people have of him is higher than what he deserves. that is in no way contradicting myself.

NBA Most Valuable Player: 2011 youngest ever
NBA Rookie of the Year: 2009
All-NBA First Team: 2011
NBA All-Star Selection: 2010, 2011, 2012
fifth player in NBA history to post 2,000 points, 600 assists and 300 rebounds in a single season (along with Oscar Robertson, John Havlicek, Michael Jordan and LeBron James)
became the seventh player in NBA history to average 25.0 ppg, 7.5 apg and 4.0 rpg in a single season (along with Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James
averages 25 points, 7 assists, and almost 5 rebounds a game in the playoffs
Those are definitely stats of an over rated player who is only in his 3rd year.

I have to side with D Rose not being overrated at all. Hell of a point guard, in fact, if I had my franchise, the North Dakota Ass Stompers, he would definitely be my starting PG. It will be fun to watch his game develop even further. Lebron should be considered overrated if anything because he cannot deliver the goods, call him the mail man, Karl Malone.

Agreed. The only active PG that I would even consider taking over him would be ________. There isn't anyone.

btw, he is in his 4th season. and simply winning an mvp and being in a few categories as good players doesn't mean he isn't overrated. people think he is the best in the league and he's not even top 5. aka he's overrated.

Rose sucks ass, he got steamrolled in the playoffs by the heat. Lebron should have won the MVP last year.

Rick you were saying just yesterday that D Rose is the top PG in the league, quit being a flip flop, John Kerry. Chris Paul and D Rose are in my opinion, the top two guys that you want running the floor. Should he have won the MVP last year? That is highly questionable, and he still didn't get it done in the playoffs. BUT, this isn't near as controversial as when Barkley won the MVP, and then Jordan won the NBA Finals, kind of telling everyone to piss off. LeBron didn't get it done either last year. Because Charles Barkley won the MVP over Jordan and Jordan won the ring, does that mean that CB34 was an overrated player? Hell no. Which I think also holds true to Derrick Rose. CJ Watson since his NBA debut has become a really good/solid player, but lets face it, D Rose has brought the Bulls back to being a power in the East. Overrated? No. Proven? Not quite yet.
