I'll agree on the east: Miami.
On the west...I think it will come down to the Lakers and the Thunder. Here's what I like about the Thunder:
Offense offense offense. 3rd in the NBA in avg. ppg behind Miami. But, that's also their downfall....they're just outscoring people. Rag the Lakers about Lin, but their defense is only giving up 90 points a game. So basically this:
If Kobe's supporting cast comes to play: Lakers win the west.
If not: Thunder are in the finals.

I agree jesus with the west opinion but the way the lakers can go is by sitting dfish and put somebody else at point guard but i dont think we have our point guard that we need on our bench anyway and gasol has to step up in order for us to go far in the plaoffs/finals

Exactly. Gasol is KEY. The thing about fisher is that he is clutch when you need a late game shot, but he's such a defensive liability.

So true about fisher is defense is so bad thats the reason teams with good guards do well against us is because fish can keep up anymore he has aged and cant handle the younger generation plus the lakers look like we have no passion most games and its sad to watch

Yep. I feel bad for Kobe, he can score 35pts and they still lose because no one else brings anything. No excuse for that, the Lakers shouldn't be struggling like they are even with the new offense. They're playing better than last month though.

Chris Paul would have helped more than Dwight Howard.

thunder/c;ippers vs the heat. as current rosters stand. Lakers are a dangerous team but dont like their roster and the way they are playing in a 7 game season

Oklahoma City will take care of business. There is no way a team with an overrated Blake Griffin, Chauncey Billups(out), and Chris Paul(wishing he wasat the real LA right now) will take the west.Lebrickster wrote:Jesus Shuttlesworth wrote:It will be a cold day in hell when the clippers make the 2012 NBA Finals.Lebrickster wrote:thunder/c;ippers vs the heat. as current rosters stand. OKC needs some offense from someone other than Durant/Westbrook/Harden. Those three can't do it all. They get very little from their bench or their bigs. I do like them in the West though because no one else out there has impressed me. The Mavs have looked suspect, the Lakers are relying on Kobe (surprise), and the Clippers are still too young and with Chauncey out I don't see them making the Finals. In a couple years, though, they will be a major player in the West. They have good young guys (Gordon, Griffin, Jordan) and one of the top 5 PG's in the game right now. That is a pretty good foundation.
The East is a toss up between the Bulls and Heat I believe. On paper, the Heat should run away with it but Lechoke is there so who knows. The Bulls hav a really good starting line up but I don't know about their bench other than CJ. The Celtics could surprise some people if they stay hot and get a favorable road in the playoffs. If Orlando could play the way they started the season, they would be a top pick also. I'm going to have to say that the Wizards will win the East though. John Wall is just too damn good.

The wizards bench alone will win the east. Fixed your Celtics comment as well.

That's what we're told every year, and come crunch time they slip back under the radar and don't emerge until next year only to disappoint again.Lebrickster wrote:dont sleep on the spurs flying under the radar

don't rule out the spurs in the west. although they're getting older, they're playing some great basketball. they're 2nd in the west and on a 9 game win streak. a lot can change between now and playoff time, but tony parker is playing well and you know the spurs will be out for revenge after getting embarrassed last year

Same story every year. Until they get to the finals in the 2012 season, I won't believe it.Linglourious Basterd wrote:don't rule out the spurs in the west. although they're getting older, they're playing some great basketball. they're 2nd in the west and on a 9 game win streak. a lot can change between now and playoff time, but tony parker is playing well and you know the spurs will be out for revenge after getting embarrassed last year

5 years is a long time, though.
